UAB and INFLCR Launch RISE to Assist Student-Athletes with NIL

From UAB Athletics:

The UAB Department of Athletics and INFLCR, a Birmingham based company who is the leader in helping college athletes build their brand, have announced the program RISE, a dedicated resource to assist UAB student-athletes with Name, Image and Likeness.

RISE is a comprehensive Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) program built to provide UAB student-athletes with a robust offering of technology, education & tools to succeed in the NIL era. RISE is a partnership between the UAB Department of Athletics and INFLCR Verified & Plus to provide compliance reporting, content delivery, analytics & education to all Blazer athletes.

“UAB has long believed in empowering its student-athletes with content to be their own storytellers, and its athletics staff was one of the earliest adopters of INFLCR technology,” said INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale. “Located a mere two miles from our INFLCR office, we are thrilled to expand our partnership with UAB and have the INFLCR Verified and Plus technology features serve as an integral part of the department’s “RISE” NIL program. Together, the UAB staff can be ensured they are equipped with the means to thoroughly establish, communicate and track all NIL regulations and transactions for their student-athletes. Through this partnership, the Blazer athletes are empowered with brand building, content delivery, analytics and education to grow their social following and market themselves successfully in the NIL era.”

RISE has four main focuses to assist UAB student-athletes with name, image and likeness.

  • Resource – provide tools, technology & education to prepare athletes for their future
  • Invest – take these resources and invest in the student-athlete experience and invest into the UAB community
  • Strategy – understand the value that our athletes bring and help strategize ways to enhance their brands
  • Empowerment – encouraging athletes to learn and grow their opportunities

“Our long standing partnership with INFLCR has never been more important as we enter the era of Name, Image and Likeness,” said UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram. “Jim Cavale and his company have done a tremendous job to equip our student-athletes with educational and tangible resources to assist them in their NIL journey.”

UAB was the third school to sign with INFLCR back in 2017 as the two enter their fifth year as partners. Every student-athlete and coach at UAB has access to the INFLCR app.
