Emory Eagles Partner with INFLCR for NIL

Establishing new relationships and trailblazing frontiers for its student-athletes in the vibrant Atlanta-area community and beyond, Emory University Athletics and INFLCR are partnering to provide Eagle student-athletes with knowledge and educational tools to effectively navigate and manage entrepreneurial opportunities in the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) space.  Emory is the first NCAA D-III institution to utilize INFLCR Verified as an all-encompassing platform in support of student-athlete NIL.

“Our mission is to engage, equip, and empower our student-athletes for success through sport,” stated Emory Athletics Director Keiko Price.  “Partnering with INFLCR to capitalize on NIL opportunities aligns with this mission.  This is an exciting time for Emory Athletics.”

INFLCR – pronounced “influencer” – is a content-creation platform that assists college programs, professional sports teams and leagues monetize and disseminate photos, videos and graphics.  

Emory’s student-athlete population of more than 400 competing in 19 NCAA Division III sports will be able to receive images, videos and graphics to share on their social media accounts.  INFLCR will also provide effective technological resources to understand and maximize the value of their NIL rights, proven social media brand development solutions, and a program that can be tailored to each student-athlete.

“We are thrilled to bring the INFLCR Verified product offerings to every student-athlete at Emory Athletics and supply them with the brand building, content delivery and educational tools to successfully market and monetize their NIL,” said INFLCR Founder & CEO Jim Cavale. “Through the INFLCR Compliance Exchange, the Eagles student-athletes have easy access to a multitude of marketplaces to seek out profitable opportunities while Emory’s athletics staff can be assured its athletes are engaging with vendors and brands in a safe and compliant manner aligning with the NIL regulations it has in place.”

Emory Athletics will introduce NIL support to its student-athlete population through its Eagle Edge student-athlete program.

“I’m so excited to further the mission of the Eagle Edge program in the NIL era,” said Associate Athletics Director Audrey Hester.  “NIL support is part of a broader commitment to student-athlete development.  We want to equip our student-athletes with the resources and education they need to grow, succeed, and standout during their time at Emory and beyond.

Our NIL programming is all about sharpening the student-athletes’ edge as an Emory Eagle.  Our pillars of NIL support are the foundation to student-athletes optimizing their Emory experience for long-term personal and career success.  Specifically, the Eagle Edge will open possibilities, build brand, empower entrepreneurs, spark innovation, and forge partnerships in the NIL landscape.”

Emory Athletics plans to engage key campus partners and stakeholders to continue to develop how to best support student-athletes in this new era.  Emory Head Softball Coach Adrianna Baggetta is a member of the group and has expressed a commitment to ensuring student-athletes have access to opportunities.  “This is all about embracing the NIL changes to lead the way, build on the successful Emory brand, and give our student-athletes the tools to use their platforms in the best way.”
