A&M-Commerce Launches “UPROAR” NIL Program, Powered by INFLCR Verified

From A&M-Commerce Athletics:

The Texas A&M University-Commerce Department of Athletics is proud to announce UPROAR, an education program powered by industry leader INFLCR to assist Lion student-athletes in the management of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) activities.

With collegiate student-athletes now empowered to pursue NIL opportunities as of July 1, 2021, A&M-Commerce will provide education and tools for student-athletes to pursue their potential in this new era, while remaining compliant with State of Texas law and NCAA guidelines.  UPROAR includes a department-wide expansion of TAMUC’s partnership with INFLCR to include INFLCR Verified, a content-delivery, education and compliance platform for brand-building and NIL monitoring.

“With our mission to provide a Best in Class experience for our student-athletes, launching UPROAR is a logical step for Lion Athletics,” A&M-Commerce director of athletics Tim McMurray said. “By definition, uproar is a ‘condition of noisy excitement and confusion’, and we believe our athletics compliance office, our tremendous partners at INFLCR, and our entire department will be able to assist in eliminating that noise and confusion for our student-athletes.”

INFLCR’s Verified suite of products ensures student-athletes are provided the tools, content, financial literacy, and more to participate in upcoming opportunities from NIL legislation. TAMUC is one of the first two NCAA Division II institutions in the nation to utilize INFLCR Verified as an all-encompassing platform in support of student-athlete NIL.

Powered by flagship new products like the Compliance Exchange administrator dashboard and Storyteller Playbook video library, INFLCR Verified enhances the student-athlete experience by offering a comprehensive solution for responsible brand-building on social media, as well as a fully compliant path to external commercial activity from NIL.

Athletics programs are adopting this approach to educate and prepare staff and student-athletes for new opportunities and complexities from NIL legislation, aiming to ultimately provide best-case scenarios for student-athletes who will look to participate in monetization activities from their NIL.

“A&M-Commerce has been a true leader in the athlete-empowerment movement in Division II,” INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said. “We are excited about the ability to help Lion student-athletes tell their story, grow their brands, and maximize their NIL potential safely and compliantly through the INFLCR Verified platform.”

An additional point of difference will be the collaborative opportunities and potential programming with TAMUC’s Venture College – housed in the school’s College of Business and under the direction of Dr. Mario Hayek, Dean.

“The possibilities for collaboration between our College of Business and our student-athletes appear to have a very high ceiling,” Hayek said.  “Our Venture College is founded on aligning inspiration, innovation, and impact for our students, and the resources presented through the INLFCR Verified platform will help our institution navigate Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities with thoughtful purpose.”
