Week 2’s best in #SMsports

Texas, Clemson, Central Florida, Georgia Southern and Fresno State caught
our attention this week on social media.

Each week in INFLCR’s #SMsports newsletter, we’ll call out some of the highlights of social media during the 2018 college football season. Want to nominate something to be showcased? Email tim@3.80.10.35 ….

Here are five items that caught our attention during Week 2:

Texas Football’s Twitter timeline during its victory over Tulsa was poetry in motion with video highlights, photos, graphics, animated graphics, score updates, drive updates and commentary galore. It was almost like being at the game.

Clemson Football rebooted its Instagram account with content specifically aimed at recruits while using the Stories feature to chronicle the Tigers’ road win over Texas A&M. This smart use of the platform recognizes both the audience and the audience behaviors on Instagram.

UCF produced a slick plays-of-the-game presentation for Twitter for its 38-0 win over South Carolina State.

What a great scene from inside the Georgia Southern locker room after a 34-13 win over UMass. This type of access connects fans — and recruits — to the program and is something all teams should do.

INFLCR client Fresno State published a 22-minute documentary, “Day With the Dogs,” an all-access, behind-the-scenes look at the Bulldogs’ preseason preparations.
