Niners “Greenlight” Custom NIL Program in Partnership with INFLCR for Student-Athletes

From Charlotte 49ers Athletics:

The Charlotte 49ers are pleased to announce Greenlight, a customized set of tools to allow student-athletes to pursue opportunities associated with their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL). The Niners have partnered with COMPASS (CLC + Game Plan) and INFLCR to provide solutions for education, monitoring, disclosure, and brand-building.

“Greenlight is more than a brand name for our NIL efforts, it’s in keeping with our philosophy to be a student-athlete centered organization. This is our way of saying ‘Let’s Go.’ Let’s embrace this new era of college athletics and give our student-athletes the best opportunity to develop and grow their own personal brands. By partnering with COMPASS and INFLCR, we’ll immediately be able to provide best-in-class services – from education to brand-building.” – Mike Hill, Director of Athletics

The Charlotte effort was led by Special Assistant to the Executive Staff, Sam Perelman, a former student-athlete at Old Dominion University and member of the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as well as a current member of the NCAA Division I Legislative Solutions Group.

“It was invaluable to have Sam lead this effort,” commented Hill. “His perspective as a student-athlete and his role with the NCAA committees really gave us a head start in putting Greenlight together.”

“It’s an exciting time to be a student-athlete as name, image and likeness conversations develop across the country. The Greenlight platform and partnership with COMPASS and INFLCR demonstrates the Charlotte athletic department’s commitment to us as student-athletes, and their support as we navigate these changes. I’m happy we are providing education and resources while encouraging opportunities for growth, and I look forward to continuing these conversations with my peers looking to pursue freedom in this area.” – Brenna Murray, President of the 49ers’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The COMPASS platform delivers education, monitoring and disclosure in one easy-to-use mobile app. The app can be utilized to deliver education modules to student-athletes, athletic department staff, donors, or potential sponsors as necessary. It also provides a centralized location to track deal trends, house contracts, forms and other documents.

“We are excited for COMPASS to serve as the NIL management platform for the Greenlight program. From Mike Hill’s leadership of the LEAD1 NIL Committee to this new program, Charlotte was one of the first institutions to see the importance of an integrated approach to providing NIL solutions for its student-athletes, and we are ready to GO.” – Cory Moss, CEO of CLC

The INFLCR+ NIL suite offers fair market valuation for student-athletes to measure their social media following and a Q&A option so they can ask questions to brand coaches. Additionally, INFLCR will provide counsel on social media strategy.

UNC Charlotte is the fastest growing institution in North Carolina’s 17-school system. Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, a booming market that provides a perfect backdrop for student-athletes to explore their NIL opportunities.“This expanded partnership with UNC Charlotte is taking Niner Athletics to the next level. It’s been great working on brand-building the past few years, and now our INFLCR Plus team is ready to help guide the 49ers into the NIL era.” – Jim Cavale, INFLCR CEO
