Kansas City Athletics and INFLCR Officially Launch the KC Roos Exchange

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The elevation of Kansas City Athletics has taken its next step into the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) arena, announcing today an expansion of its partnership with INFLCR, the leading NIL technology platform. The KC Roos Exchange will allow for a streamlined connection and interaction between Kansas City student-athletes and interested businesses, collectives, and other individuals.

“INFLCR is a leader in content, data management, and NIL solutions, and we are excited to continue our partnership,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin said. “The KC Roos Exchange will undoubtedly allow us to compete in this hyper-competitive era of college athletics. This technology will not only educate and equip our student-athletes to navigate the ever-evolving world of NIL but will also provide a centralized and user-friendly platform to access.”

Through the KC Roos Exchange, companies can register to connect with Roo student-athletes and conduct accelerated, efficient business deals. Included in possible deals are public appearances, autograph signings, social media promotions, and private lessons.

“We are thrilled to partner with Kansas City Athletics to support their student-athletes by providing a fee-free platform to monetize their personal brands with NIL,” said INFLCR Founder Jim Cavale. “The launch of the KC Roos Exchange will create powerful connections between student-athletes and their local community, leading to partnerships and NIL deals.”

Once a business or individual registers at kcroos.com/exchange, they will be granted access to a database of Kansas City student-athletes, filterable by specific criteria. They will then be able to message the student-athlete (or a representative) directly through the app and begin negotiations, free of involvement by Kansas City Athletics and INFLCR.

When a deal is reached, the INFLCR app provides all necessary resources for compliance disclosure, payment processing, and tax reporting. Furthermore, INFLCR does not take any fees on the transactions that take place in the app.

This expanded partnership maintains Kansas City Athletics’ efforts to maximize student-athlete’s brand-building potential. In 2021, Kansas City announced a first-of-its-kind comprehensive partnership with Teamworks and INFLCR that provided student-athletes with a centralized location for all athletics-related information and content.
