RALEIGH – NC State Athletics, in an expanded partnership with INFLCR, is excited to launch its ALPHA Exchange platform, which will be used to further support Wolfpack student-athletes and connect them with businesses, donors, alumni and other interested parties wishing to develop Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements.
The creation of the ALPHA Exchange is NC State Athletics’ next step in an already-established partnership with INFLCR. The department-wide resource is free for both Wolfpack student-athletes and third parties.
Businesses and other interested parties can immediately begin registering for the ALPHA Exchange at GoPack.com/AlphaExchange.
“Our launch of the ALPHA Exchange is another important step in strengthening the resources and education we provide our student-athletes while expanding the opportunities they have to capitalize on their NIL,” said NC State Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan. “We’re excited to expand on our department-wide partnership with INFLCR by providing this space for direct connections to be made between our student-athletes and businesses around the Raleigh area and beyond.”
The ALPHA Exchange is a NIL business registry that has been custom-designed for businesses, donors, alumni, and others wishing to connect with student-athletes at NC State. Registered businesses will be able to search and filter through a database of Wolfpack student-athletes and then initiate discussions about NIL transactions. Messages can be sent directly to student-athletes in the application, or contact information for a student-athlete (or their elected representative) can be requested to begin those conversations.
Once a NIL agreement is reached between a registered business and a student-athlete, the business will use the ALPHA Exchange to create a transaction that produces direct payment to that student-athlete. The platform also consolidates all transactions made within the ALPHA Exchange into one 1099 for each student-athlete, which makes for easier tax reporting.
All transactions will be automatically disclosed to NC State Athletics. NC State Athletics and INFLCR are not directly involved with the negotiations made through the ALPHA Exchange.
