University of St. Thomas Athletics and INFLCR Announce a Department-Wide Branding Partnership

From St. Thomas Athletics:

The University of St. Thomas and INFLCR are launching a department-wide agreement that will empower Tommie student-athletes with content to build their personal brands on social media as part of the University’s Purple Playbook initiative. The INFLCR platform also gives them access to educational materials to better understand Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) rules, regulations, and implications.

“As the college athletics landscape continues to shift, our student-athletes have a unique opportunity to build their own personal brands while also elevating the University of St. Thomas brand,” said Vice President, Director of Athletics Dr. Phil Esten. “Ensuring a positive and meaningful experience as at the core of what we do in at St. Thomas, which includes the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of that experience.  INFLCR helps us achieve that goal by providing the content and educational tools needed for them to share their stories.”

With the partnership, St. Thomas student-athletes will have access to INFLCR’s platform which helps college and university athletic departments send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.

“We look forward to helping the Tommies grow their brands and tell their personal stories while competing for championships,” said INFLCR CEO Jim Cavale. “The administration at St. Thomas is invested in empowering their student-athletes and providing them with the best opportunity to maximize their time in college athletics. Each student-athlete will be able to access personal content directly from the INFLCR mobile app as well as metrics that track their follower growth and engagement as they continue to build their social presence in the NIL era.”

Tommie athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts. After the fact, schools are able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.

New this year, student-athletes are now able to leverage various opportunities using their names, images and likeness. Included in the INFLCR partnership are educational opportunities for student-athletes about rules surrounding NIL and how to best capitalize on opportunities that are consistent with the college athlete model.

How It Works

INFLCR’s platform helps college and university athletic departments send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.

Those athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts.

After the fact, schools are able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.

Athletic departments use this approach to bolster their online presence in a way that impacts event attendance, recruiting, fundraising, and other strategic goals.
