The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has entered into a multi-year partnership with industry-leading content and compliance software company INFLCR. The agreement will provide MEAC member institutions with the tools and technology necessary to support their student-athletes’ opportunities related to name, image and likeness (NIL).
The three-tier platform will provide educational resources, brand-building techniques and a disclosure technology platform required in many states.
“In the MEAC, our primary responsibility is the success, health and safety of our student athletes,” MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. “INFLCR has established itself as a leader in this burgeoning category, and the MEAC’s institutions look forward to benefitting from its expertise, particularly as the college athletics landscape continues to evolve. This agreement will afford an opportunity for our institutions’ student-athletes to enhance their brands in a manner that is consistent with institutional goals and objectives.”
Through the INFLCR Verified platform, MEAC student-athletes will be provided with technology that will enhance their experience through personal storytelling. INFLCR Verified will also equip MEAC student-athletes with a wide range of educational and financial resources to help optimize and monetize their personal brand through their name, image and likeness.
“With a lack of centralized legislation and governing for NIL, conference leaders are taking the initiative to support their member institutions with the tools to help student-athletes build successful and safe businesses,” INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said. “We are excited to partner with the MEAC so its athletes can seamlessly connect with the brands and organizations that align with their interests while also creating a system of record for student-athletes that ensures NIL transactions occur compliantly.”

Athletic programs are adopting this approach to educate and prepare staff and student-athletes for new opportunities and complexities from current NIL legislation, aiming to ultimately provide best-case scenarios for student-athletes who are looking to participate in monetization activities from their NIL.
INFLCR had previously worked on an individual level with select MEAC member institutions.
