McMurry Athletics Announces UPPRISE Program, Partnership With INFLCR

From McMurry Athletics:

In an effort to provide valuable name, image and likeness resources to its scholar-athletes, McMurry University’s Department of Athletics has partnered with INFLCR to launch the “UPPRISE” program.

UPPRISE – which stands for “Using Personal-branding to Promote Responsibility, Integrity, Service and Excellence” – will equip over 500 McMurry scholar-athletes with the knowledge and tools to understand and maximize their Name, Image and Likeness opportunities.

INFLCR – pronounced “influencer” – is a content-creation platform that helps collegiate scholar-athletes build their own brand while staying NIL compliant. INFLCR is the industry’s leading scholar-athlete brand-building company with over 1,000 clients, mainly at the NCAA Division I level.

As of today, McMurry joins Emory University as one of two NCAA Division III programs nation-wide to partner with INFLCR.

“We are excited to work with INFLCR and equip our scholar-athletes with the tools necessary to take advantage of the new NIL legislation,” said McMurry Vice President for Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics Sam Ferguson. “The INFLCR application will allow our scholar-athletes to build their brand, which also adds value to the McMurry brand. Further, the educational component will develop new skills and position the McMurry scholar-athletes for success in the classroom, in competition and beyond. We expect INFLCR to be another tool for our department to help our War Hawks thrive, while meeting our mission of becoming Champions for Life.”

INFLCR provides a number of resources for scholar-athletes, including social media brand development solutions and educational tools for marketing and monetizing their brand. INFLCR also assures institutions that scholar-athletes engage with vendors safely, staying compliant with State of Texas and NCAA NIL regulations.

“In this first couple of months operating under NIL legislation, we have already seen multitudes of successful transactions occur through the INFLCR Compliance Exchange, and we are excited to bring the Verified technology and product features to McMurry University so its student-athletes have every opportunity to capitalize on their NIL,” said INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale. “Without centralized legislation for NIL, institutions are seeking out the best means of support for athletes to successfully build businesses through storytelling, and this partnership is a demonstration of McMurry’s investment in its athletes. With INFLCR Verified, War Hawk athletes will benefit from our content delivery services as well as be equipped with the tools and educational resources to successfully transact with vendors in a fully compliant manner.”

Through the UPPRISE program, War Hawk scholar-athletes will not only be able to thrive in the Abilene market and other markets, but will also have a platform to promote McMurry’s core values of responsibility, integrity, service and excellence.

The full launch of UPPRISE will take place in the coming weeks.
