NC State, INFLCR launch 5-year department-wide branding partnership

NC State University and INFLCR are launching a 5-year, department-wide agreement that will empower Wolfpack student-athletes with content to build their personal brands on social media.

“We’re excited to partner with INFLCR on a department-wide multi-year agreement,” said NC State Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan.

“We’re committed to providing the necessary resources available to our student-athletes and we see this partnership as an important step forward as we continue to educate, innovate and tell our story.”

NC State student-athletes, coaches, staff and other brand ambassadors for the Wolfpack’s NCAA varsity sports will gain access to thousands of photos, videos and graphics produced by NC State Athletics and delivered through the INFLCR software and mobile app, to share on their personal social-media channels.

INFLCR now serves more than 800 NCAA collegiate athletic teams and is used daily by more than 30,000 athletes to access content from competitions, practices, travel and more. NC State is the newest member of the Atlantic Coast Conference to partner department-wide with INFLCR.

NC State is also a department-wide partner with Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform in collegiate sports. Teamworks acquired INFLCR in 2020.

“We are excited to welcome NC State into the INFLCR family with this multi-year, department-wide partnership,” INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said. “NC State is committed to providing Wolfpack student-athletes with the resources and education to build their personal brands while competing for championships in the ACC.

“The Wolfpack will be at the forefront for student-athletes to tell their stories and to maximize their opportunities around their name, image and likeness.”

How It Works

INFLCR’s platform helps clients like NC State send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.

Those athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts.

After the fact, NC State is able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.

NC State plans to use this approach to bolster their online presence in a way that impacts event attendance, recruiting, fundraising, and other strategic goals.
