Towson Athletics Partners with INFLCR to Expand Student-Athlete Influence, Department Brand

INFLCR is excited to announce a new partnership with Towson Athletics to help grow the digital brands of student-athletes, coaches, staff, and other representatives of Towson across social media.

As part of the partnership, all 19 Towson athletic programs can take advantage of content delivered and uploaded to INFLCR, which connects student-athletes with content from Towson Athletics through INFLCR’s mobile app and platform.

“As an Athletic Department that already creates one of the largest volumes of curated content in our conference, we wanted a partner with a toolset to help us capitalize on that pillar and continue to prepare for the NIL landscape ahead of us,” said Kyle Rae, Towson Athletics Associate AD for Financial Management.

“INFLCR provides an innovative tool for our student-athletes to be able to engage our alumni, fans and followers and prepare them for the ever-changing NIL developments in the near future. We are extremely excited to continue to strive for excellence and achieve our goals through sustained social media growth as a part of our overall NIL strategy alongside such a great partner in INFLCR.”

INFLCR works with over 100 NCAA collegiate athletic departments across the country and with several different conferences.

All content gathered by Towson Athletics, including photos and videos, can be uploaded to INFLCR.  From there, Towson student-athletes and athletic personnel can access that content for use on their social media channels.

“Towson is doing incredible work by empowering its student-athletes with high-quality content to tell their stories and grow their digital brands on social,” INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said

“This new partnership will help position Tigers student-athletes to be able to maximize opportunities to monetize their name, image & likeness in the new era of college sports.”

The Towson basketball teams will be uploading new content when the 2020-21 athletic season begins on Wednesday, Nov. 25th: the men’s team will take on San Francisco at 9 a.m. at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut while the women’s team hosts East Carolina at the SECU Arena at 2 p.m.

How INFLCR Works

INFLCR’s platform helps clients like Towson send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.

Those athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts.

After the fact, Towson is able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.

Towson plans to use this approach to bolster its online presence in a way that impacts event attendance, recruiting, fundraising and other strategic goals.
