Cameo, INFLCR, and Teamworks Announce Exclusive Collegiate Athletics Partnership Ahead of Name, Image, & Likeness

INFLCR and Teamworks have announced an exclusive partnership with Cameo to bring their platform into college athletics.  As part of the partnership, student-athletes with access to Teamworks and INFLCR will be able to activate a Cameo account within compliance of NCAA regulations and begin creating free custom editorial content for their fan club, in preparation for commercial opportunities.

With name, image, and likeness legislation on the horizon, Teamworks and INFLCR are positioned to be the technology enterprise leaders for the collegiate NIL era. In preparation for the big changes to come, INFLCR has been working closely with its university partners to help student-athletes build their personal brands, as well as the brands of their respective team and university, through timely, engaging, editorial content.

STEVEN GALANIS, CAMEO CO-FOUNDER & CEO:

“NIL legislation offers tremendous opportunity for student-athletes to earn off the field income while building up their personal brands. This landmark partnership with INFLCR & Teamworks will ensure that Cameo becomes a central piece of the student-athlete’s monetization stack. We look forward to creating thousands of magical moments between student-athletes and college sports fans around the country.”

JIM CAVALE, INFLCR FOUNDER & CEO:

“The exclusive partnership with Cameo further establishes INFLCR as an industry leader in the future commercial monetization for student-athletes after final regulations for name, image, and likeness are put in place by the NCAA. Add Teamworks’ substantial athlete network to the mix, and hundreds of thousands of athletes at all levels of competition will soon be able to tap into fan-driven commercial opportunities.”

ZACH MAURIDES, TEAMWORKS FOUNDER & CEO:

“Fans crave storytelling. By partnering exclusively with Cameo, we are providing additional avenues for athletes to connect with their digital fan bases and equipping them with the tools to monetize fan-related branding opportunities. We will continue to seek out ways to further support and empower organizations and their student-athletes in the NIL era and evolve our platforms to provide them a premium experience.”

The tech companies will work together exclusively to bring Cameo into the market now and in the future, while the pro athlete and coaching community will be able to begin monetizing on the Cameo app, immediately.
