Lamar Athletics expands INFLCR partnership

Lamar University Athletics will extend and expand its partnership with INFLCR with a multi-year, department-wide agreement. The Cardinals are the first department-wide client from Southland Conference.

Cardinals student-athletes, coaches, and staff in 15 sports will now gain access to photos, videos and graphics created by Lamar Athletics and delivered through the INFLCR platform and mobile app, to share on their personal social-media channels.

“We began working with INFLCR last year, and are very excited about expanding our partnership,” said LU Director of Athletics Marco Born.

“We are always looking for new ways to enhance the fan experience, and this is another way to bring our fans closer to our programs and student-athletes through social media.”

INFLCR now serves representatives from every NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision conference and several top Football Championship Subdivision programs. Lamar is the first department-wide partner from the Southland Conference.

“Lamar student-athletes in football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball demonstrated great usage of the INFLCR app during the first year of our partnership,” INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said. “We are excited to now provide this opportunity for all Lamar athletes to tell their story and grow their personal brand.”

How It Works

INFLCR’s platform helps clients like Lamar University send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.

Those athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts.

After the fact, Lamar is able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.

“INFLCR grants us the opportunity to better promote our players and our brand to our fans on a wide range of social media platforms,” said LU Assistant AD for External Affairs Jon Washington. “This is an exciting step forward for Lamar University athletics.”

LU plans to use this approach to bolster their online presence in a way that impacts event attendance, recruiting, fundraising, and other strategic goals.
