Marquette Joins INFLCR as First College Basketball Program in NIL Data Services Pilot Product Offering

INFLCR is excited to announce the launch of Marquette University men’s basketball as the first college basketball partner who will be piloting the “Data Services” product offering from the INFLCR team.

The new Data Services offering from INFLCR is the first of several products that the company will be rolling out as part of an innovative Name, Image, & Likeness (NIL) Suite. Data Services combines custom reporting with digital education and content consulting for student-athletes, coaches, and the athletic program social media accounts.

Marquette is one of several universities to sign on and help lead the launch program over the next year as college sports awaits the legislation of Name, Image, & Likeness for student-athletes.

“We want our players to embrace social media. It is the way that their generation communicates. And it has tremendous power,” said Marquette Head Basketball Coach Steve Wojciechowski.

“Our university is committed to giving them the best possible experience in every way so they can maximize who they are, not just as players, but as people, as students, and now as brands. I think our partnership with INFLCR, and being one of the first to really take it to the next level in terms of individual brand-building and program brand-building gives us a leg up on our competition.”

After a successful two-season partnership, Marquette University recently expanded their student-athlete brand-building focus to include all varsity sports, becoming the first department-wide INFLCR partnership in the Big East conference.

“Coach Wojo and the Marquette basketball program are such a natural fit as one of the first pilots of INFLCR’s NIL Suite,” said INFLCR CEO Jim Cavale.

“Marquette has been so proactive in encouraging their student-athletes to tell their stories on social media, and it’s already made a huge impact on the digital brand of Marquette basketball. Their program will be at the forefront of NIL when it comes to recruiting, branding, and the value of storytelling through social.”

The extension and expansion of this partnership builds on the successes seen from student-athletes on the INFLCR app over the past year, and sets the stage for Marquette to be prepared for a new era in college sports around Name, Image, & Likeness opportunities for student-athletes.
