We asked football players from 36 teams two questions:

Generally, we’ve seen that posting action shots from a game and group shots with their teammates are the most popular amongst athletes. The survey results reflected that, as 56% players said their favorite content they’ve already received were action photos, and 15% said group photos.

Here are the other 8 recurring content types that athletes enjoyed receiving this year, ranked from highest to lowest.

Towards the bottom of the list, only a select few athletes mention content types such as pre-game photos, videos, and travel photos. These three types correlate with our second survey question, in regards to the types of content they wish they had more of.
Only 10 athletes mentioned their favorite content types being pre-game, videos, and travel photos. However, their responses to our second question suggest they want more of these three types.
Here are the 6 types of content athletes said they wanted more of, ranked from highest to lowest. Players could pick more than one option.

There were 15 players who selected they wanted more of each type of content.
Based on their responses to both questions, we conclude that in 2019 the favorite content type for college football players is action shots. However, based on their responses to question two, they are eager to receive a variety of content.
