Iowa State joins INFLCR team

Cyclones Football will empower student-athletes to grow digital brand

INFLCR is excited to welcome Iowa State Football to the team!

Student-athletes, coaches, and staff from the Cyclones’ football team will now gain access to photos, videos and graphics created by Iowa State and delivered through the INFLCR platform and mobile app, to share on their personal social-media channels.

“Our football program is full of tremendous student-athletes with great stories to tell, and we are excited about the opportunities INFLCR presents in this capacity,” Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell said.

“In addition to the benefits our student-athletes will receive from this platform, INFLCR will also allow the brand of Iowa State Football to continue to grow as we work to connect with our fans, alumni, recruits, and parents. We are excited to use INFLCR to help us continue to work to reach our full potential as a football program, on and off the field.”

INFLCR now serves more than 90 clients including representatives from every NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision conference and several top FCS programs. The Cyclones are the newest client from the Big 12 to commit to a partnership with INFLCR, based in Birmingham, Ala.

In their first three weeks on the platform, Iowa State activated 94 of their players, and their activity was prolific with 1,128 INFLCR app sessions to view content. Cyclones players downloaded / shared 903 content items. Their engagement rate on Instagram posts was 24.03 percent, far above the industry average of around 6 percent for influencer-marketing social posts.

“Iowa State and Coach Matt Campbell are innovative and committed to putting their student-athletes first,” INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said.

“By being forward-thinking and delivering great content to tell their story on social media, Iowa State will empower its student-athletes to grow their personal brands within the context of the team brand. This will help them make the most of their time in the Big 12 spotlight and help them build value far beyond their playing days at Iowa State.”

How It Works

INFLCR’s platform helps clients like Iowa State University send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.

Those athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts.

After the fact, Iowa State is able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.

Iowa State plans to use this approach to bolster their online presence in a way that impacts event attendance, recruiting, fundraising, and other strategic goals.
