Ole Miss signs a multi-sport digital partnership with INFLCR

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Influencer (INFLCR) founder and CEO Jim Cavale announced a multi-sport contract with University of Mississippi Athletics.

INFLCR will serve the Rebels’ football, baseball, softball and men’s and women’s basketball programs. Ole Miss is INFLCR’s fourth client from the Southeastern Conference. INFLCR now serves clients from the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, American, Mountain West, Conference USA, Sun Belt and America East conferences.

The INFLCR content delivery software platform helps clients like Ole Miss distribute their internally-curated content into personalized galleries on each of the mobile devices of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors, for them to access and share via their personal social-media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook.

Ole Miss can then use their INFLCR dashboard and usage reports to track their “audience lift” via the much-larger collective audience of those brand ambassadors.

“As digital and social media evolves, Ole Miss athletics will continue to invest into the creation and distribution of storytelling content to move our brand and the brands of our student-athletes forward,” Ole Miss Director of Athletics Ross Bjork said.

“We’re excited about our partnership with INFLCR as it will help us streamline this storytelling initiative, putting the Ole Miss brand in front of more people and empowering our student-athlete brand ambassadors to grow their brands responsibly.”

After activation in January 2019, Ole Miss student-athletes in the contracted sports will gain ongoing access to thousands of content-items produced by the university that they can directly access in their personalized INFLCR mobile app gallery.

The student-athletes will be able to share from their personalized galleries to their social-media channels, building their personal brands within the context of their team.

“I’ve seen a lot of technology demos over the years, and this is one of the best,” said Michael Thompson, Ole Miss’ deputy athletics director for external relations and business development.

“The INFLCR platform plays such an important role when it comes to delivering our vast amounts of content and storytelling assets directly to our student-athletes who can then share with the world.”

“The Ole Miss athletics brand has a great tradition, and we are very excited to have them using INFLCR to power their storytelling,” said Cavale.

“Engaging their student-athletes, coaches, alums and even their superfans, to partner on social in telling the Ole Miss story together, are all a part of the innovative strategy that Ross [Bjork] and Michael [Thompson] have designed in their innovative INFLCR strategy. We are pumped to power it for them!”
