Each week in INFLCR’s #SMSports newsletter, we call out some of the highlights of social media in sports. Want to nominate something to be showcased? Email tim@3.80.10.35 ….
Here are five items that caught our attention this past week:
Miami Dolphins: We’ve typically focused on college sports here, but this mash-up of User Generated Content from the Dolphins’ #MiamiMiracle finish against the New England Patriots was too good to pass up.
Ohio State: The Buckeyes’ mini-documentary series #TheBrotherhood was a stellar recap of high points in the season, with behind-the-scenes access and eye-popping production work.
Oklahoma: You wage a successful Heisman campaign, you get a mention here. This was how the Sooners’ marked Kyler Murray’s trophy presentation in animation:
Kansas State: K-State did an awesome job with its Twitter account to chronicle the hiring of new coach Chris Klieman, including behind-the-scenes interviews on the plan to Manhattan, testsimonial graphics and this sharp introductory graphic that sets the tone for the new regime.
Louisville: More teams should do what Louisville did here to answer important questions fans always have about every game: Where can I watch it? You can’t tell them too frequently.
